All for one?

It is the daily temperature in this office, it is either too cold or it is freezing cold. Everyone requests the HR department to turn up the air-cond so that it is warmer in the office but all requests are not successfully entertained because everytime it is made slightly warmer, one particular colleague will call the building management office every five minutes to complain that it is too hot. She will not cease until they turn down the air-cond to make it colder. In the end, the building management rather leave it cold than to bugged by the incessant calls. The HR is seen as powerless because they could not do anything about it. Furthermore, HR do not want to offend this colleague's feelings although she is a clerical staff but she is a long serving employee. So, the majority of the 60 odd persons in the office will suffer the cold for the sake of one person. The majority of the people leave the office at 5.30pm sharp to get away from the freezing cold. Any thoughts of staying back are overwritten by the inability to take the cold for another minute. Similarly, some people do not bring lunch to the office or pack and eat their lunch in the office. Leaving the office during lunch time allows a person to go out into the warmth of the sun. Maybe hypothermia from freezing conditions should be made an occupational hazard for office workers...
